Thank you to everyone who tried the game on a phone and told us what got in the way. We read every comment and the latest version fixes them.
Taps no longer pop up the joystick
Touching the left half of the screen used to bring up the joystick at once, so tapping an NPC, the Waypoint circle or the ground there did nothing. The joystick now appears only when you actually drag. A quick tap works like a click: it walks to that spot or talks to the NPC you tapped.
A smaller first-quest card you can close
On phones the first-quest card is smaller and more transparent, and it no longer blocks taps: you can tap through it to talk to Borin or open the Waypoint. The “✕ Close” button is bigger and easier to hit. You never have to finish the quest, and you can resume it from the “▶ Continue the first quest” button.
Red is life, blue is mana
The two globes at the bottom now carry “Life” and “Mana” labels, and the skill step of the first quest says that skills spend mana, so you no longer have to guess which is which.
Click the Waypoint circle itself, and double-click the map to travel
You used to have to hit the “Waypoint” label floating above the circle. Now a click or tap anywhere on the rune circle opens the map, and on the map you can double-click a destination to travel at once (on a phone, tap the same point again) without hunting for the Travel button.
The potion bottles flash when you run low
Many players only discovered that the red bottle beside the life globe is a button. Low-level characters now see the bottle flash when life drops under half (the blue bottle when mana is low), with a chat tip saying to press 1 or tap the bottle to heal.
Frozen character: a warning when the connection drops
On a phone, switching apps for a while or a network hiccup can cut the connection to the server without the screen noticing, which makes your character look frozen. If nothing arrives from the server for 20 seconds the game now shows a “Tap to reload” bar so you can return with the same character (it disappears by itself if data resumes). We also made sure a lost finger can never leave the joystick or a held tap stuck.
