Brann works at his anvil and forge on the west wall of Emberhold. Talk to him and pick the ⚒ Enhance or 🎨 Dyes tab.
Enhancing (+1 to +10)
- Pick a piece you wear or one in your bag: weapons, shields, helmets, capes, body armour, gloves and boots (not rings or amulets).
- The window shows the base stats before and after, the chance and the cost.
- Press ⚒ Enhance: a success throws gold sparks off the anvil.
Every + raises the item's base stats (the first line of its tooltip) by 10%, so a +10 has twice its base stats. Its Magic / Rare mods stay as they were.

The glow of each tier
+4 blue · +7 violet, with sparks circling the weapon hand · +9 red · +10 gold
Enhanced weapons and armour pulse in the colour of their tier for everyone in the zone. Bag icons carry a +N badge in the same colour, and when anyone reaches +8 or higher the whole server hears about it.
Outfit dyes
Each class has four dyes at 1,000 gold each, bought once per character; switch between them or back to the original outfit for free at any time. A dye recolours your outfit and the armour you wear into one set of colours, leaving skin and leather alone, and other players see it.

Reward outfits (not for sale)
Any class can wear them. They are earned by playing only, then worn or switched for free at Brann like a dye.
